Eckel Correctional Panels

Extremely rugged 50mm (2") thick flat sound absorbing panels with a special security fastening system. Convenient Installation. No need to relocate existing utilities.
Quality engineered surface mounted system incorporating hidden mounting angles and special security fasteners. Suitable for corridors, cell blocks, gymnasiums, and various other areas within jail cells and detention centers.

The acoustic correctional panels are fabricated from zinc coated steel, perforated 2.4mm (3/32") holes on 4.8mm (3/16") staggered centers. Panels are flat faced with all edges returned.

Mounting

The panels are surface mounted to walls or ceiling. A minimum of four mounting angles are provided with each panel. Each mounting angle is provided with 6.35mm (1/4") - 20 blind threaded inserts for attachment of the panel. The panels are attached to the mounting angles with 6.35mm (1/4") - 20 button head socket security cap screws made of stainless steel.

The mounting angles are hidden beneath the panels and attached to the mounting surface with appropriate anchors.

Acoustic Insulation

The acoustic insulation is 50mm (2") thick fine fibered, fibrous glass having a density of not less than 1.5 lbs per cu ft. The acoustic insulation is wrapped in 0.05mm (2 mil) polyethylene.

Sizes

The acoustic correctional panels are offered in standard sizes of 457mm (18") wide by 1.52m, 1.83m 2.44m and 3.04m (5', 6', 8' and 10').
